diff ratio change what to look out for?
Hi there. So when I under to find source of the sledge hammer bang going on at rear.....usual problem found, trans mount bust. So while up in the air, they checked the diff as well. A bit of wear in the crown wheel / pinion. So running a 273 A4 currently.. good opportunity to change to a 342 rear. So far so good. Then I start seeing on line forums....PCM problems, shift point issues, ABS reluctor faults......really, so all this should be expected from changing the ratio?

I went from 273s to 373s and never had a issue with my 02 z28, I used a handheld programmer and set the parameters with that, can't remember if it was my Diablo tuner or crane cams tuner I used

All you do is change your gear ratio in your PCM settings. Done.
