sorry to say but that is way too much, 15-to-24k range for a true ss with the slp add ons with that mileage yes, so either a 35 anniversary with the color package or the slps with the dual center exhaust is what you would pay 14-25 k for... that is not a true ss for that year.

How is it not a true SS for that year?

does not have the camaro ss badge on the dash like mine, need the vin to be sure i guess, could be wrong but also found this on a forum that backs up what i thought.

Without a doubt its a fake. Real SS's have the SS dash plaque. This car just says Camaro. Just another Z28 with an identity crisis.

But hey, Z28's need love too.

My SS never had that badge. 98-02 it was an option from what I remember. Just like leather, t-tops, traction control, rear defogger . . . my car has none of those and it's a real SS, #867 of 8913. I've had the SLP Birth Certificate since 06. A vin will tell you if it's an SS or not but the process is very long and tedious to find out compared to looking at the RPO code list. The RPO code WU8 will confirm right away if it's an SS.

The ss dash plaque was an option. The 'SS would look identical to a z28 in its interior.

Look for the WU8 code on the door sticker. That code must be there in order for the car to be considered a real 'SS.

Those are pretty low miles. Most 4th gen camaros are super high miles and beat up

Bought mine in 05 with 52k and sold it in 12 with 191k. Just bought the car back in July from the guy I sold it to . . . he put less than 500 miles on it since I sold it to him. Now, comes the long task of putting it back to exactly how the car looked when I sold it. His tastes and mine are way different 😡😡😡

yep, thats the best way to tell, woulda never bought mine if the rpo codes were wrong. i hate fakes lol i bought mine with 100k on it but motor was rebuilt, 10k beforehand new tranny suspension, original mint cond paint kevlar clutch, no knocks pings drips only thing i did to it was had the top headliner and visors redone.,, kinda want to turbo charge it though

wonder if its a good idea

This is how my SS looked before I sold her :(

And this is how she looks now that I have her again . . . needless to say I'm not a fan of the body kit or the hockey stripes

Eventually I want to put the stripes back on the hood and spoiler, get rid of the hockey stripes, the hood tear drop, the body kit and I need to find Speedline or Alcoa c5 z06 wheels again
