Breaks going bad already?

I purchased my 2SS/RS about a year ago and only have 7k miles on it. Not only do my breaks squeak at times when slowing down but now I’m hearing at least one of the break sensors chirping while driving. Is this normal for these brakes? This seems a bit soon for the breaks to be going bad. Should I bring it to the dealer to have them look at them? Is this a warranty issue or are they going to charge me for a brake job?

The brakes squeak sometimes normally. U should be able to look at your pads through the wheel and see if they are worn. I am at 19,000 and I am good.

yeah the stock pads squeal, but there's a tsb i believe on it to get rid of the caliper weights and put the "roller skate" pads on...should take care of the squealing.

You might want to pull your wheel off and take a look at them to be sure. My camaro has less than 20k miles on it and I had a similar problem. It started feeling weird and making a funny noise when I was braking. Turns out it had blown through the pads and was braking metal on metal. Took it to the dealer and it turned out that I had a defective caliper from GM that was sticking. They had to replace the entire front drivers side brake assembly.
