Very true! If you need to modify the car to fit the rim, that is too much

I'm sure there are plenty of people on here who have been in these cars that have 22 or 24's or possibly had them on theirs and then went back to a stock size or smaller. Just because they don't have that size on their car doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about or can't give an opinion to a post on a PUBLIC FORUM

Also, to answer everyone's claim about performance vs. appearance, I think I can safely say that "most" owners who are in the 24's or higher have V6's so I'm going to go out on a limb and say they don't care about the performance aspect/potential loss, just the look of the car...here are a few from this thread alone (not trying to call out anyone, just stating the facts so the performance vs. appearance thing can end)

SSboy87: 2LT (OP looking for answers)
DraggnFrameGMC: LT (24's)
DJ UNKNOWN: LT/RS (not exactly sure but defending 24's like crazy)
Im_Fly_Like_A_V6: LT (22's, getting 24's)
zkdreads: LS (24's)
INthat305: LT (24's)

Nice observation. The majority of the guys putting 24" on their cars are V6 owners. Yes, there are a few V8 guys with 24", but the trend strongly favors V6 Camaros.

Most guys with Camaro SS don't want to lose 50hp from the car. They bought a performance car for a reason.

Well I'm a SS and I don't normally run the 22s. They are for show because they make the car stand out even more. If their on the car they change the whole look of it. People will come up out of nowhere and start talking about the rims. Not all of them are "thugs", "ghetto", or what ever you call them. I do run a set of lightweight 20s for the street and track. To all the big rim lovers, don't worry or pay any attention to the negative opinions, you paid a good amount of money for your rims and even more one the custom painted ones. This is a public forum open for any discussion and there will be negative post, and there will be trolls. So to the OP, bro get what ever you want.

I wasnt defending 24's I was defending peoples right to do whatever they want to their car, then that's when some member called us thugs therefore I started defending myself so maybe you should go back a re-read it and get it right most of the people that don't like it have never owned a set of em and they get on here saying that your ride is terrible when in actuality the difference is minimal. My thing is if you don't know then how in the hell can you form such an expert opinion on something?

Most of us cruise around more than drag and road course. If u do that u have another set for that. I like a wheel to fill the gap not a tire.

Same here. It is crazy how perfectly offset 22s with a slight drop, just takes this car's appearance to the next level.

I don’t get why these threads always go in this direction. Not sure why the same people always post in these threads and say the same thing over and over and over... about performance. Or they go on about how they can’t stand the look and/or stereotype the owners.
