here is a fun one. same track, different event. i worked on the editing a lil bit. it even has some music. damp conditions and sprinkling. lots of cars in heavy traffic sliding around. this is part 1 of 2 that im making. my friend sent me his PDR video and wanted me to make him a few videos to show off to his buddies.

he was fast. i had ran with him before when he owned a porsche. i didnt know who was in the yellow car until after the session. then we just laughed.
the porsche cup car in this second video put us all on the trailer. ive never seen acceleration like this at an HPDE. he was gaping a C7 Z06 on R7s by 10 cars a straight!!! ill have my car back out for Chin june 9th n 10th. this NCM event was the first two days of what i call hell week. i was in a car, on the race track over 21 hours in a 7 day period. that was two weeks ago and i finally got a weekend away from the track. it all starts again monday for 4 more weeks. |

Nothing special about this video, I was actually 5 seconds slower a lap for these (coaches wanted me to work on a constant throttle and not getting on it all the way as some practice). However, I moved the camera from inside the car to outside on the tow hook. Other than being a little bouncy, I think I like this perspective much better and will probably leave it there.
Interestingly enough, even though you never hear the supercharger in the car, it's really noticeable from the camera position (once I'm allowed to pass the Focus). Haven't overlayed the data yet, Dashware having troubles with the lap diff for some reason. I spent the day watching all these videos, lots of great driving. I never have driven on a track and would love too. I just bought some property 4 miles from Gingerman in Michigan. I didn't know the track was there till one night my lady and I were sitting around a fire and could hear the cars smashing the fun pedal. I signed up for Aug 20 CGI motorsports track day, can't wait! I have a feeling this could be quite addictive.
