Were your Ties a option?
Hey guys, thinking about pull the trigger on a Z real soon. But seeing you guys with flowties on the grill, makes this one different with the standard bowtie. So I was wondering was the flowties themselves were a option?

The flowtie was standard equipment on the 2014/2015 Camaro Z/28.

If you read the R&D about this car you will see that the flow tie is functional with respect to increasing air flow to the radiator and coolers mounted behind the grille.

Yes, we all know they came with flowties, OEM. Its not impossible to switch grills/badges. Maybe he wanted one that was like the concept car. The former owner was a member here, but hasnt been active since 2015.

My thoughts....
Logically thinking two things.... -IF there was front end damage.... why have your insurance or whomever replace it with the incorrect part..... -IF you were trying to hide the damage cheap and unload the car, why use something so obviously wrong? Also, is the rest of the grill correct? Because I can't find a non-flowtie that fits the Z/28 grill. So either the entire grill was replaced, or someone stuck some sort of overlay or whatever over the flowtie. |
