I think Lexus bucked the trend first with "different:" or perhaps it was Nissan with Rouge suv - which became an instant sales success btw - out of proverbial nowhere. No doubt others have noticed...

Car designs are part of general fashion. Fashion makes no sense except to dictate to the masses whats new and in vs old and outdated. Why on Earth would dudes wear suits with pants that are too short and jackets that look 2 sizes too small? To me they look ridiculous but to most fashion savvy folk they look "in".
And we humans want to look in vs old (until we get old and no longer give a $hit what others think).
And fashion gets invented in studios not public feedback sessions.

It is interesting to Google cars over the past few decades to see how they evolved. You want ugly and over the top? Check out 1950s classics. Pure nightmares...
Then they kept streamlining the looks over the next few decades right into complete boredom. Imo.

We seem to be entering a reversal of this trend perhaps as marquees seek ways to differentiate themselves from a current generic (and all of a sudden: boring) look. Who knows where this will take us. Just hope they wont bring back rear fins. Or maybe they should lol!

Don't know if this has been posted already, I gave it a look and couldn't find anything. It is another video of the same grey SS we saw.

Think it looks way better than some of the renderings we have seen.

Love the rear although I will say they need to make sure the rear sensors are body color rather than the silver we see here - looks a bit daft with 4 silver dots stuck on the rear end

The hood makes the front of that car. The taillights are awesome

I had a 98 TA and never noticed those issues. A hatch gives better access and utilization of available rear space in a vehicle with limited space.

Didn't the Camaro used to even lead some trends? Wasn't the 4th one of the first cars with a black roof?

That's what I thought it was until I saw the H, some bad custom job.. And it's uglier in person, the middle lights stick out.

And again, people that don't like the 19 Tailights, they could have added an extra set of tailights.

It's like a decomposed Pontiac Aztek resurrected.

For the exact same money, the Giulia is far better in looks and style. That's where the Camaro is suffering. Incredible chassis and performance, with distinctly not incredible looks and style to match.
Haha, I think the Giulia is a disaster style-wise. It looks like a 1990's ford contour with a body kit to me!

For some reason, right now all (video) links just appear as an empty box.

The funny thing is even after searching youtube I haven't seen any other videos, other than things like this that are just screen grabs or copies of mine.
