Coilover comparison
What makes certain coilover systems worth much higher prices than others. E.G. BMR or BC at about $1200 vs Bilstein B16 at about $2400. Several others in the 2 or 3 thousand range. I'm all for quality choice and like the Bilstein, but it's a pretty hefty difference in price.

I would imagine that materials and design specs come into play.

No doubt, but they all quote similar stuff. So really wondering if there's any real world comparison available. Can't really justify twice the price for "we use better materials", when you don't really see complaints of substandard for BMR or BC. But if there's something concrete, I could consider whether it's really worth it.

I went with BC-ER's after shopping different selections.
Quality stuff. Can't see paying 2x the cost over these for incremental performance gains. |

I have the BC Racing cheap coilovers. Ride quality is really good. Lots of adjsutment from soft to stiff. great reputation, ordered them from Phastek and they showed up at my house the next day.

In the end, I want to be able to lower 1", retain factory or better ride, and the replace a few other components to make this 100K mi. car nice a tight again.
