Keeps overheating

I have a 2011 camaro rs Lt And it’s been giving me the run around for the past couple weeks . One day I was headed home and just got off the freeway when it said “shut engine off now engine overheated” I took it to a mechanic the next day and he told me it was the water pump and thermostat . After I got that replaced everything was fine for a couple days but now it’s back overheating. I’ve been to plenty mechanics but they can’t seem to find out what’s wrong with it

What does the actual temp say or does it shut down the temp guage? if it is actually overheating my first assumption is a stuck closed or half closed t-stat.
Mine has actually told me it is shutting down the A/c because the eng is overheating when it is actually not. I found my tsat is stuck open and the eng never gets warm enough, so the computer assumes the worse.

Burp the system. Running it with the cap off is the easiest way.
