HEADS UP EVERYONE!!!! Those heading east out of MO on 270 to get to Hwy 70 we've got a traffic issue beginning Monday. Thanks to IDOT we'll have lane closures going east bound in Madison county. Here's the list and times:

MADISON COUNTY, IL (KTVI)-The Illinois Department of Transportation will be closing lanes of I-270 in both directions from IL Rt. 3 to one mile east of I-55/70 starting Monday, July 29, 2013. Crews will be patching damaged pavement and placing a micro-surface on the existing pavement.
Traffic delays of 30 minutes to an hour are possible during lane closures. Lanes will be open during specific peak hours. All lane closures are weather permitting.

I called today and got hotel room at Wyndham. . They said they had a few cancelations so I get to stay atvthe cool kid hotel.lol

Just wanted to update this thread with the final details.

The main group is meeting at the rest area on I-70, which is a few miles past the Route 143 (exit 24). There are approximately 11 cars meeting there around 9AM with a plan to get on the road around 9:30.

We are meeting a few more cars in Effingham, IL at the Pilot Truck Stop off Route 45 & I-70. If timing works out right (and depending on construction traffic) we will be meeting there at 10:45. After quick stop, and a bathroom break if necessary, we should be back on the road around 11-11:15.
