I just should not own a Camaro (rant)

I have had my Camaro for a little over a year now, and I have 25,xxx miles on it, no accidents, no fender benders, nobody has keyed it at school (im a junior in high school).

No more than 20 minutes ago my cousin arrived home on his 636 Ninja, I back my car out of the garage to allow him to put his bike in front of it. My dad parks his truck on the opposite side of the drive way in which i park my car in the garage. I make my way out of the garage then i cut my wheeMIND GOES BLANK. CCRUNCHH. I proceeded to rake the right rear of my car down the back bumper of my fathers Avalanche.

Needless to say I am very, very pissed off at myself;

1) he parks there EVERY NIGHT, so its not like it jumped out in front of me.
2) mirrors?
3) windows were down so I cant use the tint as an excuse.

The good news is that I am in Auto Body & Collision repair in my school so I can fix the damage by myself.

Other than some deep scratches and a lot of scuffing ...there doesn't seem to be any serious damage.

Looks like the first car I will be painting that was produced after 1970 will be MY car.

I still can't believe myself.

Aw damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear about that. I have a 2 1/2 car garage. And I make my wife park her car outside so she won't ding my paint. There's nothing on either side of mine.

True, lol. I learned those lessons with my dad's Audi 5000 (1989) then with my Ford Escort (1993) and then lastly with my Chev Cavalier (1998).

I'm not gonna say one more damned word lest I jinx myself!

OOPS Sorry! Ouch!

Did something similar with my Grandfathers 1959 Chrysler Imperial when I was learning to drive. Nice dent in Rear Passenger Door. Man that car was huge, and beautiful too. Black with a Powder Blue Interior WoW

I put about 40 - 50 miles on my car a day just to and from school..and of course during the summer I put miles on that thing like that's its job.

I have been doing a lot of metal and body work, but I have very little painting experience..so I guess this is just a nice challenge for me.

No pics right now as there is terrible terrible lighting in my garage and I only have a picture phone, so I will take pics tomorrow when I get her into shop

Is your camaro CGM or black? A buddie of mine sent me a picture last summer of a CGM camaro with a batman symbol under the "camaro" like yours...and yes Delawareans are hard to spot on here lol

EDIT: sorry, I see its CGM after looking at your "Drives:" my fault, lol

No offense to OP, but this is why I think beginner drivers should start off with a beater...... regardless of status or if you" busted your ass" to get good grades. Starting off with a beater is the perfect situation.....
