With all the harden parts and build on trans mine is there with the level 5 spent $2300.00. Like MANNY had some one build here local. They build for a lot of drag racer and mud bogging truck. I thank it was SLP in south fl that made my drive shaft ???

don,t know year of case, but mr nasty is correct, had to box for the plug...few others i had talk to did not have to box, just some massaging the hump..maybe i have a late model and the early models fit better..i think it might just be a shot in the dark...it will fit, just some take a little more work then others...but i would def make sure not to half ass this part as it is part of the frame and hitting these cars up with this much torque and hp, i,m surprised some have not started tweaking the body...just a matter of time...maybe the independent suspension helps take some pressure off..??

What rear gear are you running? I put the 3.91 in a month ago seems to be a good combo.

Whipple forged bottom end blower cam LT. last time it was dyno 585RWHP no power added after that. Been working on suspension and weight . Most of it was seat and wheel a lot of small front sway bar mats washer bottle any thing not needed some of the suspension mod will help. This summer going for head injector and fuel system. Still running stock head and fuel pump with a boost a pump and 60lb injector its all max out with what am running now not to bad. Also hoping to have weight down to 3500lb.

Thanks nasty. I've looked into shaving weight but I don't want to strip the car like others have done. When I'm done with the swap I'll try to get it weighed and then re weight it after I remove seats and a couple other things for race days.
Also RPM told me they use 01 or newer cases when I spoke to them. I think they mentioned that they use those since they're the right bolt pattern unlike the 96 and older that are missing the top bolt.

What set up are you running?? Did you cook the A6?? My stock trans make about 40 passes and 2,000 highway miles. But I also beat the shit out of it not a DD car.

I got a Cam and YSi on a stock bottom end. Pushed over 700 RWHP and close to 600 TR. It was dyno a few months back so I don't remember exact numbers. I probably have over 150 total passes and 35500 miles. LOTS of low 12 and high 11 sec runs and plenty of high 10 and low 11 sec passes with shifting issues. Could be a bad converter or bad trans, either way that's in the past.

Are you still running the 3.27 gear? If so after the 4L80 swap may want to drop to the 3.91 4L has a tall first gear. Need some help getting it off the line.

Yes I got a stock rear end. I'm debating now on what to do as far as a rear goes. Since I need a drive shaft so I might as well just get a built rearend and ask my tuner or whoever is more knowledgable than me about what gears to run.

The more power you make the less gear you will need especially with your YSI making 700 rwhp.
