Not a bad problem to have... Sell one of the other cars you have... 6 cars total? Yea... Options there.

I concur with Supercup above. If you can swing both do it.

I know the Porsche guys especially the GT4 guys think the Z/28 and ZLE are fat pigs. Few of them know they will probably see tail lights running into a Z/28 or ZLE which says a lot for how far the camaro has come along.

I'd love to hear a review of the GT4 compared to your Z when you get settled in. Would love to have a GT4 myself.... can't justify the price just yet though.

I posted my impressions previously, but just to recap: In terms of overall performance they are very close. The way they make power is definitely different. The Z has a linear power curve, just smooth all the way to redline, no dips or peaks. The GT4 is soft down low, but has a noticeable increase in pull above 4000 rpm, almost like a turbo. I think in terms of raw numbers the Z/28 has a very slight edge in acceleration. Lbs/hp the advantage does go to the GT4, ever so slightly. I'd give a very slight edge in handling to the GT4 simply because you can feel how much lighter it is (1000 lbs). It's telepathic, absolutely glued to the road. As you all know the Z/28 hides its weight well and is a fantastic handling car but the extra thousand pounds is definitely there. Braking is about equal. My GT4 has the carbon ceramic brakes and they feel very much the same as the Z. Shifting is close, but the GT4 feels ever so slightly more smooth......it's just the most buttery manual I've ever driven, perfection. I say that absolutely loving the Z/28 shifter. The one complaint I've read about the GT4 is the tall gearing. So far it hasn't been anything I've thought about. Z/28 gearing is perfect in my mind. The rest is more subjective......engine sound is totally different. Z/28 roars and the GT4 howls, they both make me smile. I do LOVE the auto rev match in sport mode on the GT4. The interior is no contest, the Porsche is absolutely gorgeous, with plush material everywhere and beautiful color matching stitching and matching color accents. I actually like the simplicity of the Z/28 interior. It's one of the things that appealed to me. No nonsense, just a raw analog car built for one purpose. However, I do admit really liking the cockpit of the Porsche. I have the GT carbon fiber seats (I guess they come from the GT2) in the Porsche. They are manual like the Z. Very, very cool seats and hold you well in cornering. Love the Z/28 seats too so no real winner.....except for how cool the GT4 seats look. I'm not a pro driver and I don't track the cars, I drive them in the mountains on twisty roads so I'm probably using 70% of what they can do, maybe less. At the edges of the envelope with a pro driver I'm sure you'd get a better feeling for the advantages, but there you go. From a practical perspective, when I take the fact that I've always been in love with Porsches since I was a little kid out of the equation, it's hard to justify getting the GT4. Price/performance absolutely no contest the Z/28 wins (and really even if they were the same price the Z still might win).......I still take the Z out for short drives just so it doesn't sit for long periods and when I do I shake my head and think "What the hell did I do! I love this car!" It's when I drive the GT4 that I have no regrets, the total package I guess, that intangible "something" I can't describe that just puts it over the top.

Thanks for the write up. Great stuff.

The GT4 is a sweet ride. Glad you like it. It looks incredible too.

That my friend, is the baddest-ass looking garage I have seen in a long time. I'll be buying a Z/28 in about a year. Looking forward to having it next to my daily driver (SS) in the garage.

I liked the color of the wrap, and it seemed like a good idea to see if it would sell wrapped but I would expect it to be more sellable unwrapped. Now everyone can see it looks good and the color is more OEM maybe appeal to wider audience. GLWS.
