Lowering springs or coil overs

What’s the best springs to get for my ZL1? Trying to give it the mean stance I want it to have.

Lowering springs sacrifice ride quality. They substitute ride height for shock travel. The more you lower the car, the less travel you have, which means the sooner you hit the bump stops.

Most coil overs have the ability to adjust ride height without sacrificing shock travel. As well as giving you the ability to adjust rebound and dampening. This is the best option. Keep in mind, they will cause the suspension electronics to throw codes unless they have the "cancelors" like kw does.

I personally have had both on my 5th gen camaro. I started with lowering springs for track use to lower the center of gravity. Then quickly got rid of they and went with coilovers.

Hope that helps.

lowering springs don't sacrifice ride quality in our magnetic shock equipped ZL1s. It may be slightly firmer and that's it.

I cannot tell ANY difference in ride quality at all with the Eibach springs on my car....that said they do not lower the car very much. I would be happier with at least another 1/2 inch drop in the rear.

I agree. I had H&R springs on my F10 M5. Could hardly tell a difference.
