I also cut the center out of the mounting pad for the basic bowtie(from the new grille) and then epoxied tabs for screws the go through and those attach to metal clips attached to small aluminum tabs that mount behind the grille. When tightened down, they sandwich the grille between them.
In the last pic you can kinda see the aluminum tab on the right side. That was the first test fit and it'll get cut down more and finally painted black to hide it. And it remains fully removable.

I love the grill but I feel like I'd stick with halogen lights on the 2014 models. Not sure why

So is it a real z28 grill or a knock off?

It's a real GM accessory "heritage" grille, in gloss black. (lists for $500+)
And that is apparently all that the z28 grille is.

This is correct, the Heritage grill was available before the Z/28, with the regular gold Bowtie, part # 22965834, black.

Z/28 is the Heriatge with the Flowtie, different part #

So, not a knock off, real GM, gotta modify the stock Bowtie to make it a Flowtie, just like CFTA did, which is what I'm going to do too!

Just got my Heritage today, removed the Bowtie and looked up some pics of the Z/28 grille. The Z/28 grille IS different than the Heritage in that the Z/28 grille has the black backer (for a lack of a better description) of the Flowtie molded as part of the grille "mesh" (see pic), unlike the Heritage, for which the chrome Bowtie can be removed along with its black backer. >>>EDIT: Found another pic of the Flowtie, kinda looks like its black backer is separate from the grille.....<<<<The chrome Flowtie also is a bit more squared off and leaner looking compared to the Bowtie on the Heritage.

CFTA, if you tear it apart again to paint, could you take a few more pics of the mods you did for mounting?

Thank You

My above 1ST assessment is incorrect, the edited assessment is indeed correct. I have obtained a real Flowtie. The Heritage and Z/28 grille are identical. The Flowtie has the black backer and the black section is notched to sit nice and tight on the grille:

Anyone know if this grill will fit correctly with the regular none RS headlights on a 2014 1LT.

I think so. All the non RS and non ZL1 '14 Camaros share the same headlights I believe. And the RS gets you the chrome strip, correct? So if you don't have the chrome strip you would be good to go.
