Drop all coverage but comprehensive in the winter for the Camaro. Otherwise my insurance isn't much anyway.... old truck is my primary driver

Grundy Collector car insurance for the 2001 and 2010. Full coverage Agreed Value (NOT market value) $25k & $35k, $0 deductible, $500 towing, as well as travel disruption.

I am paying just under $800 a year for both cars.

Few stipulations
-Cannot be daily driver
-Must have daily driver
-Must be garage kept
-Cannot drive to run errands, work, or the mall.

No limitations on miles per year, I can take to car shows in the trailer or drive it.

Mine are weekend cars only so it's a no brainer to opt for collector car insurance with agreed value.

I have had the exact same type of collector car insurance with JC Taylor company on several cars (Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupes, GNs, etc...) But they require the car to be at least 20 years old before they insure it as a classic.

Grundy will insure a 2015 Camaro and older

I store the car from Nov. - April as well. During those months I only carry Comprehensive ins. The car is financed and also is discounted for driving under a certain amount of mile a year. I have State Farm. I also do not have a garage at this time. This will change soon. Hope that helps. It is not a daily driver. During these "winter" months it cost me about 50$ a month. Summer months it is about 100$ a month.

Full coverage and State Farm gives me an additional discount for low miles.

just does not make sense to carry complete full coverage when only driving the car 100 miles (or less) per month.

what type / carrier do you guys use for reduced rates on your garage Camaro?

I have collectors car insurance on my ZL1 (Freedom Fighter) limited to 250 miles a month drive time. Because of all the mods, paint job etc, I have insured X amount and costs me same of is if I had regular insurance with USAA...

I have NC Farm Bureau, the rates are really low so I just have full coverage @ about $425/year.

I have American car Collectors Ins. on my 2011 Camaro. Stored 6 months out of the year. I don't trailer my car & I take it to Maryland Nationals Oshawa Canada & other places like cruises and car shows. When I got my Ins. I sent them copies of all my bill parts that I put on the car.
Plus pics. And estimate of what the labor would cost even though I did all my own labor. Then I had the car appraised by a professional. Every time I ad or change something I send them all the info. The car has to be on my property and in garage w/ garage locked all the time. They do don't pay Blue book value if something happens to the vehicle.
They cover everything on the vehicle if it's in a wreck. Allowed 5000 miles a year. Can't put car on Drag Strip or any racing track. And because I can I never take any of the Ins. off the vehicle. I also took a $1000 deductible.

Talk to Hagerty Collector Car Insurance. I have my Jaguar XKE fully covered on an $80,000 stated value policy and it's $550/year. No restrictions on driving it, so I don't have to worry about putting miles on it.

looks like hagerty might be a possibility. thanks for the help guys.

kissrss.... that's exactly what I was thinking, state farm provides a reduced rate for limited miles but farmers does not. sounds like a have a crappy insurance (I have had them for 25 plus years).

Insurance

I have several modern muscle cars (including a 2010 Camaro SS)and I only drive each one about 1000 miles a year. Cruising and car shows not a daily driver. I have each one insured by Hagerty for a stated value. Costs about $500 per year per car. It is a great deal.
