The 16 SS feels really strong on the on ramps. As a street car it's going to feel stronger then the 350. The 13 boss I had felt really strong as a street driver. Not as strong as the SS however. I wanted a car with all the luxury and decent 1/4 mile times that could handle the curves for under $50K
I've been following the 350non R for some time now. 12.5 1/4 times weren't going to get it for me. I cancelled my order on the 350 and it's still sitting @ the plant since it was built on 11/11. Since Ford would not issue acceleration times I had to wait for the mags. As of 1/7 it still @ the plant sitting outside.

I wish I could have a GT350, a 2SS, AND an SRT 392 in my garage/driveway.
But it'd be financial suicide unless I can score two of them down the road as used, and even then, it would marriage suicide. Sigh... gotta get rid of the BMW (the P-car, however, that stays!) |

At this point the SS has been faster in the 1/4 than the 350.
The base 350 is actually pretty slow for its specs. And the voodoo has a horrid fuel economy rating

Big hammer you are absolutely right. Another problem is there's nobody home in the low rpm range. The SS with mag ride will distroy the Boss on a road coarse with long straights. I traded one in for the SS. Can't wait to see a head 2 head between the SS 1LE option with the up grade brake package and mag ride with the GT350 track pack. Might go either way. The SS already destroys the Mustang GT big time.

Guys, can you explain to me when comparing the GT350 to the SS, why they list the GT350's rolling start 5-60mph and 50-70mph numbers so high?
I put a lot more value into these numbers over the standard 0-60 numbers because they reflect what I would experience in daily driving. I did a few searches online and kept seeing 4.7 and 11.1 for the GT350, but couldn't find stats for the SS in manual. In automatic C&D has 4.0 and 2.3. I just don't understand how a car like the GT350 could take 11+ seconds to go from 30-50mph...I'm probably missing something here.

I only have one takeaway here. I need to rethink what I do for a living to be able to own so many performance cars some of you seem to have all at once.
