Looks like I'll have quite the decision to make next year. More/similar power with less weight and slightly smaller exterior dimensions? I think I might head over to the other side.

I still do not like the front end of The mustang This one of the reasons I went with the Camaro because of the body style. The camaro has a much cleaner style. If they went back to the body style that was in the 99 models it would have been much more of a struggle. I have owned ford cars all of my adult life but the 2010 camaro converted me to Chevy.

I love the look of the 2010 and 2011 Mustang. It isn't nearly as impressive and distinctive as the Camaro, and that is a drawback, but it still looks very nice and is a tasteful evolution of the look.

Don't expect the mustang to be light for long. I don't believe it currently meets the 2012 saftey standards (the Camaro already does). Once they have to add the airbags, reinforcements, etc. expect the mustang to pork up nicely.

do you have an official weight for us to quote you with sir?
you can expect the next camaro to pork up as well due to the crash test ratings while meeting that 2012 criteria.

No I didn't miss that part, yes it does meet crash standards but that will not stop GM from changing things up for the front structure.

Do people actually believe this person? Usually there is a person on boards that has been an insider for a while & have a good reputation. I'll believe it when it's OFFICIALLY released.

Oh btw, I'm an insider & the
2011 Camaro:
3.6L will come with a turbo & have 400HP.
7.0L will come n/a with 505HP.
7.0L will come with a turbo & have 750HP.

Let's see how fast this spreads.

Even if the Mustang outperforms the Camaro with more hp etc.... I would still choose the Camaro because IMO it looks a lot better. But I'm glad Ford is improving the Mustang.....I always feel so sorry for them when I see them j/k.

I really only see this being a GOOD thing for the Camaro. GM is pretty much a brand new company now, and they want people to know what they can do. They're not going to let Ford just walk all over them on this one.

I'm hoping we'll see the Camaro shed a little bit of weight, a track pack option of some sort, and a more aggressive gear option of some sort.
