Nice to finally meet you too...even if the first encounter was at a stoplight...lol!
We had a great time at fest. We further enjoyed being in KY as we went to Owensboro and visited some dear friends. Then on Monday we drove straight thru back home...724 miles. We did not buy our SS for the fuel mileage, but I'm pleased to say Sassy averaged 24.9 mpg! What a good girl...lol.
Yesterday was a 3 hour cleaning session of the car, but it was worth it for such a fun road trip.

Indy...hubby did get a pic of the new vert. I'll try and download them in the next day or two. The new and improved top looks awesome. I think they described it as being "more rigid", and a much faster operating speed for putting the top up and down. I was impressed!

MCL...sorry that you and your family are going through this sad time. It's most always difficult to accept "the circle of life". Prayers for your family.

Off to do some housekeeping. Lucky me...lol!

BTW...this is my SSE in this pic taken at the "early birds" dinner at Smokey Bones!
I did NOT take the photo; another C5 member took it, but I don't know who.
The Hot Wheels Edition next to my car belongs to S Brezny, also from OKC!

Picked up a piece of engine bling at fest. Would've bought more, but this is all they had on hand that fit my engine.

Been awhile since I've visited my journal.
Thought I'd put up a recent pic.

Hey Indie,
Good to hear from you!
We've had a really mild winter, so I've not had to hard of a time keeping the cars clean....except for the Tahoe...lol. It needs a bath BIG TIME but we are expecting rain, so I'll wait on that wash job...lol.
I think we've been forecasted one more little cold spell...no snow, just a low temp of about 36 for later this week, then, maybe, just maybe, we can breathe a sigh of relief and say Spring has sprung in OOOOklahoma!(despite all the trees blooming and lawns starting to turn green!)

Hope you are enjoying retirement and golfing, and most of all, cruising in your vert!

Winter in Indy means no golf and no vert cruising, my two favorite activities. I did finally get the Camaro out long enough to clean it up and this afternoon it should get exercised as it is forecast to hit 74 here with no rain.

Over the last few weekends, hubby has been pickup shopping. He can't decide between a Silverado Z71, or a GMC Sierra 4x4. I'm kind of leaning towards the GMC, but it's totally his decision. I just wish he would hurry up and make up his mind, because then it will be my turn again! haha!
And, I've located a Z51 2014 vette with less than 7k miles on it which I've fallen in love with! lol. I could really rock that Torch Red vette!

Washed [B]both[B] the cars yesterday! Took about 3.5 hours to do both, so not to bad...lol. Also spiffed up the engine bay...good housekeeping you know! haha.
During that time, 4 neighbors up the street decided to mow. I pulled the cars inside ASAP, and escaped the dust storm they created...lol.
However, I spent the rest of the day and evening dealing with major allergy issues. The grass pollen index was in the very high category....WTH? I used to not have allergies.....aarrgghh!

Have a good weekend everyone!
