The saga continues, the hawks overheating cooked 5 of 12 piston seals. 3 weren't brittle yet but very deformed, 2 were falling apart. Going to see how long I can get them to last and I guess go with the Racing Brake rebuild kit with stainless pistons. Hoping to let it go til the winter but I will monitor it closely. Damn it.

Anyone tried glueing the ABS intake funnels into place?

I'm just concerned that the pop rivets would rip-out over time from flex and bouncing.

6000 plus miles, 6 track days and plenty of spirited street driving. The fasteners are not coming out as they were designed for automotive applications. The extraction force is fairly high

I'm resurrecting this thread. :-) For those that have installed the Quantum kit a few questions: Long term: does the use of the velcro help with cutting into the tubes and does the heat affect/melt it? For those with the cold air scoop, did anyone figure a way yet to use the air flow from it? I have one and I'd hate to just take it out but I might do that to get that air to my brakes when I do the ducts.

Quantum ducts

Just ordered two sets from JDP today. Doing lots of reading. Ordered DTC -30 pads. Have new rotors to install. Hope the install goes well.

The velcro shouldn't be anywhere near the heat. Its gentler on the ducts than zip ties or something along those lines.

You need to ditch the scoop or use your fog light openings.
