I thought about it, I may just turn my car into something like a Z/28.

Stroke it to a 427, upgrade the brakes, and upgrade the tires.

I know there is more to it, but Since I have a camaro, I couldn't justify trading in my SS for the Z/28

I thought about that too...why not just get a Z06? Well, first off I've always loved the Camaro more. That fact more than others is why. As much as I like the vette I've always been about musclecars more.

But bringing back the Z/28 heritage again is awesome. Bringing it back with carbon ceramics standard is really awesome...going through the process of dropping weight, making structural enhancements and making the 5gen as perfect as it can be is downright cool.

I so want one...what color, what color...

If you are a guy who likes both Camaros and Corvettes (i.e. you could see yourself owning either one), or if you just want an LS7, the more compelling factor to me is that you can find low-mileage used Z06s in the low to mid $40K range.

IF I was spending that kind of money on a car, I would opt for the Corvette. Thats me personally, I know the Z/28 is the ultimate Camaro and all that good stuff, But if im spending that much $ on a car, I'm getting the Corvette.

The Z/28 reminds me, in some ways, of that nearly-forgotten (almost extinct?) performance era of '73-'74. For the same money as a Vette, you could (if very lucky) get yourself a Super Duty 455 Trans Am.

'Course the SD 455 T/A would stomp a Vette of that vintage, regardless of its driveline, but it was JUST an F-Body...

Prime examples of those X-code T/As (and the handfull of Formulas) go for near-6 figure$ today...or the price of a new '14 Z/28!

Because it's not a Camaro.

And......I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the Z/28 might be able to take a Z06 around a road course.
