as stated on autoblog, "it's safe to assume that legislators and the public would have hard time seeing our tax dollars being used to sell a niche vehicle" in case GM is being bailed out.

somehow it makes sense to me

I don't mean to be harsh here (... I was not the one to refer to a certain part of a Donkey's anatomy......and perhaps you, as well, should not, on this site........) - but have you read a newspaper lately or watched any of the news programs?

The big three are in a bit of trouble.......

We'll get thru it - but the convertible is a lil lower on our priority list right now...........

I recommend anyone pushing hard for the convertible to go outside and look at all the cars driving. How many of them are convertibles? It's not enough for GM to make this particular convertible a top priority.

I understand SoSmoked pation. I too only want the convertible and feel very dejected about the news. I understand GM is in trouble and all that. But when it comes right down to it, at the best us vert people will have to wait that much longer to experience the thrill of pulling off the lot in our new 5th Gen.

At the worst, we never get it.

I think it will come.......but when is now the question.

What makes it sting a little, I was shopping for a b-day present for my nephew at toyrus. They had this beautiful camaro convt model that I was drooling over for 10 mins.

I wish i knew how much a 2ss convt would cost. Because I'm willing to spend up to 40k on the camaro. But if I knew a 2ss convt was over 40k I would just get a hardtop. So now instead of chevy getting another sold camaro, I'll have to keep biting my finger nails, waiting for news on the vert.

This is really bothering me maybe I'll just get a used C6 vette vert.

My instincts are telling me that if they are delaying the vert. I think they will change the z28 and make a lower option than the ss. Probably turbo or supercharged V6.
