I had a 'Loaded' SA 1911 before as well. I'll own another one some day but right now I'm more concerned with durable, reliable, simple firearms that are affordable and easy to service. If this M&P goes well I may consider its compact brother for carry duty. I see them at the local gun shop from time to time with reasonable price tags.

FWIW, the Smith is +P rated. Well at the very least Smith & Wesson doesn't object against it in their manual, only +P+. The EMP wasn't rated for it due to its aluminum frame last I read.

I suppose that having one handgun on hand, and it being a low round, expensive, small, darn near show piece just wasn't cutting it for me. I needed something all purpose. I think she'll do well It will fit right in with my best friends Glock and our other buddies XD, lol.
Sounds like you made the right choice for your needs. Wish I could be more like that and keep only the guns I need, I always wind up keeping the ones I need and the ones I just like, probably why some just hang out in the safe so much of the time.

At one time I had a Loaded 1911, the EMP, a S&W 65 revolver (pre lock), an XD9, and then onto the rifles.....

I'll be honest with ya, I don't rake in a ton of dough. I can pay my bills, have a little fun, but that's it, lol. So I've been slimming the collection back and focusing on quality and true useability first. Less guns for me means more money for each one and more time spent using them. My best friend make good bank and goes through guns like underwear. Good stuff like Browning XBolts and Glock 20 (10MM), 460 Revolvers, 45/70 stainless lever actions, etc. More power to him, lol. I just roll a different way.

Right now I have my handgun, an AR15, a Remington 870, a 22 mag rifle, and a 22LR. Just a little well rounded collection. I'm selling a 30/30 right now because it's just not me as well.

Same to you, keep adding no value bro. You're the one trollling.
I added something that I considered funny which was a contribution of an earlier debate.
As for you what have you contributed? Nothing but conflict. Go pick a fight someplace else loser.

glad i waited a little while before getting my gun. I think this is perfect for CCW. and it's a .45.
They had one of these up at a local store by me. Not for sale yet but I got to check it out. Seems like a very nice carry gun, its very slim for a .45 round.

Glock 21 or 1911 Sig.

Also, I've seen reviews for G21 Gen4 but it's not on the Glock website, anyone know if the Gen4 experienced issues and they stopped distribution?

Birthday present from my Dad arrived today. ATI composite stock for my Mosin M44 type 53 (numbers matching original Chinese issued rifle from the Korean war).

Don't have a picture of it but here's what the stock looks like:

I probably won't be adding a bipod or a scope like the rifle in the picture though.

Here's a little something for you folks... Do you have a good holster but you'd like it to be even better? Hang it on a better foundation.

If you're using an off the shelf leather belt, you'll be amazed how much difference a GOOD belt makes.

I switched to a 511Tactical Trainer belt... Holds a full size 1911 with no sag.

The Wilderness Tactical 5 stitch is also an excellent belt.

I use the Cabela's Double Duty belt. They are amazing and I can carry any gun with no issue. Best thing is in Leather you can wear them with slack IWB with a Glock or 1911 just fine. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabel...h-All+Products

Looks like a good thick belt. I've used leather for forever, after using the nylon, I doubt I'll ever go back. Stiff like the double leather, but thin as single.

If you see one, give it a try... let me know what you think

Nice pistol for a military collection... looks like it's seen some action but was well taken care of.
