It's been while but I am on the mend and continue to improve.

The cardiologists almost have my medications tweaked to a point where I feel human. As my Doc stated, I am a complicated and interesting patient with regard to cardiology. Who knows, maybe I'll be the subject of a study... Go big or go home...

So, onto reality... for the first time since mid October I went to the shop today to visit both Corey and Sean Gustin as well as others. I drove my truck down there as my Camaro and my Camaro's motor are divided at this time.

I enjoyed the simple freedom of being able to drive myself the 35 miles or so to the shop. I had no issues and didn't get lost, though I think I could start my truck and it could get there with no input from me.

Corey and Sean and company are in good spirits and staying busy. I did get to see one of my new heads for the motor.... Wow...Sexy Car Porn... No, I didn't take any pictures. At least not of the head...

I continue treatment for my left hand as it is still more or less useless, except to cause loss of sleep and chronic pain. I did speak with a gentleman at the shop today that suffered the same neuropathy. He told me to keep working it and the movement will come back in about 18 months and the pain will subside shortly thereafter.

Thats about all for now except,

My heartfelt appreciation for all the kind words and comments, on here, on Caring Bridge and on FB. I've read every note I've seen and it has truly meant a lot.
Glad things are improving! I’m sure it’s driving you nuts not to get your hands dirty... sure would me...

Keep the faith!

-Don

This thread has never been dormant this long. Glad to see you're driving something other than Debbie crazy.

...and I also know it was good to hear from someone who suffered teh same neuropathy and had positive outcomes.

Keep that pedal down and don't lift.

Not sure how "well" he's doing but he's pretty active on facebook these days. Think I saw there he expects to be certified "sea worthy" in another month or so.

Things are progressing... slow but steady... my drug habit is about sorted out and keeps me on a more or less even keel... I haven't passed out in about 5 months... Im still going to Cardiac rehab, and occupational therapy 2x's a week each, mixed in with myriad doctors apps, of which I missed one last week... pain mgmt doc for the neuropathy in my left hand... I can when forced to do so, can pretty much steer with my left hand... though certainly not the Camaro in race conditions...

Yup, hopefully this is true... my docs are fighting to get me back ship shape... time will tell... Still couldn't race the car even if it was ready... too many blood thinners yet...
