Havent been able to check it out yet, I've been glued to the tv. I'll probably get out there and start working on it in about an hour or 2. I was checking out my Jegs catalog earlier for the wires but i still havent decided what route to go.

If it helps I stock the Granatelli Wires with the fire boots on them.

Think i found my exhaust leak coming straight from the manifold. You can see all the residue and when i started it you can lightly see the smoke coming from there. Video coming soon.

Sounds like more than a minor leak. The carbon stains are always a dead give away. I fought burnt spark plug wires and header bolts walking loose back in my mustang days. You could see the arcing at night. When I first saw those front mount turbo headers I was very skeptical of the spark plug wire routing knowing those headers would glow red at WOT.

There are a couple companies that make locking header bolts, that may prevent future leaks in your application.

I marked my camaro header bolts with paint so I could inspect to see if they are working loose. My LTs are great, no walking and no burnt wires.

Well go work finding the leak and the plug wire bad. Make sure you buy a good plug wire or heat wrap/sleeve for the new ones. Too bad the vendor you paid to do all that didn't do it.

Check your header at the v-band clap to see if its not welded all the way around like the one I got with my kit. If it looks like mine its leaking there as well. With your exhaust leaking where it is the O2 sensor is going to get incorrect readings from that side. Cant wait to see if your problems go away after you fix the wire and the exhaust leak. You got me scared to install my kit with these injectors....lol

That's a terrible job, how can anyone start welding and then just stop and call that done I've been working on cars for a little over 20 years and I too would be scared to see what I would run into next.

Thats the only incomplete weld, wish it was the only bad one but its not. The other header looks really good so I would suspect that this is a random thing and that other kits will be fine. Just another spot for the OP to look for leaks.

Hopefully that is the only thing and it's a good thing you caught it before installing the kit.

Good Morning Guys. There is always 2 sides to every story so I will enlighten you on the truth here. I will start from the beginning.

When daiz dropped off the car he had a few isssues including the starting.
For a week I drove and logged his car and not 1 time did it have a starting issue. Hot or Cold. My techs move the car in and out of the shop and no issue. Drove the car to lunch, no issue. The starting issue is INTERMITTANT and is not 100% of the time. Diaz had a exhaust rattle after a few months of driving. We fixed the rattle and did not charge him. Diaz mentioned ID850's that he was supposed to get, however he forgot to mention he did not want to pay the difference in the cost. Sorry they are not free.

Chris
