Straight pipe or straight pipe with exhaust cannister??

So I am looking at two different muffler deletes for my LLT. One is just a straight pipe and the other has an exhaust cannister. Can anyone tell what the difference in sound might be?

Thanks

A straight pipe is going to be very loud and very raw. It will probably pop some and be raspy. An exhaust canister? I would think that is a muffler, depending on the type the sound can be different.

Just get a shop to do a 2.5" muffler delete and add the Magnaflow resonated x in place of your stock resonators and H pipe. Tried and true. Anything 3" will be loud. Very loud. And very drony.

Those look like knock offs of SLP. Loud Mouth 1 and the SLP Powerflo. I woldn't recommend the straight pipe, most people regret it immediately.

I understand that. Do you do a lot of highway driving? Like... consistent driving over 50mph? I don't think you realize how much drone we're talking about.

My commute every day consists of 14 miles at 70+. I have had loud cars before and the drone doesnt really bother me, but it migh my passenger.

Could I go this route and if it is too bad add the Magnaflow thing later?

I mean, yes. The Magnaflow 11386 would go where your stock H pipe is. But I stand by saying a traditional muffler delete would accomplish this still and probably be cheaper, especially considering the stock catback is one unit and would have to be cut and welded no matter what.

I have an x pipe which eliminated the resonators, muffler delete and I have no drone. Its loud but not obnoxious. Very loud at WOT or when I accelerate.
