Which means I’d have to goto a Charger Hellcat to get significantly more interior space. But I strongly prefer the looks of Challenger > Charger

HAHA...that's funny, I thought I was the only one tossing that idea around.... Im a Chevy guy 100% and I really like my ZL1 but if the Challenger HC is more comfortable for me....I may have to switch...Headroom and interior comfort would be big seller for me..

I agree with you about the Charger vs Challenger....I like the charger, but the retro looks of the challenger just makes it so much better to look at.

Grundy was actually over $400 a month, so more than I pay right now.

That's interesting... I have my classic cars through grundy and they were by far the cheapest... My Zl1 is through my regular insurance with Erie and I believe I pay about $800 a year for it

Wow!!!!

I don't pay anywhere near that for the (3) cars I own. I'm not much older than you either (35).

That's crazy high for one vehicle and a clean driving record.

I'd personally go with the ZL1 though... I was in your same shoes last year at this time. I was looking at Z28's and ZL1's. The ZL1 will be a much more useable car day to day if you so choose to use it that way.

One other thing to keep in mind regarding the Z, is the head issues. Not trying to open that can of worms but I have 2 friends that have had major problems with the LS7 in their Vetts. One was under warranty the other was on his own.

They offered me $33,000 trade in on the challenger.

$33k sounds like a solid trade in

Did they ever advertise a % ? I remember when ZL1 debuted they said 33% of the parts were unique compared to SS, but interestingly didn't give an exact part count like Z/28, I. Curious how similar

I've been a GM guy too, but they dropped the ball on Gen 6, so Camaro is out. And when it comes time to replace my TBSS, GM has nothing to offer. So I'll be forced into a SRT Grand Cherokee. Looks like a future Mopar household.

WOW....You and I sound like the same person....I feel the same way as you...Don't like the Gen6 AT ALL, and for 2019, they found a way to make it even worse... Plus the rest of their lineup in my opinion is getting terrible looking.....Not sure who is designing these cars for Chevy, but yuck..

Never thought I would say this but Dodge is alteast building vehicles that I like... Trackhawk Cherokee anyone??...its genious
