Just curious anybody with a 2012 pay sticker

My dealer/salesman is not going below MSRP on the car that I want.
It is a 1LT with sunroof/rear camera/convenience package.
Should I go somewhere else?

go to another dealer..forget any price with msrp..a bit above or below invoice is fine..but not msrp good luck

Yeah you should be able to find a dealer willing to go 700-1000 below sticker for a new order.

Local dealership our car club meets at gives us invoice pricing one of our club members already took delivery of her 2012 SS vert at invoice. Go to another dealership these cars are no longer in demand plenty on the lots.

If you cannot find one locally contact Becky Doyle at Rodgers Chevrolet she will find what you want and ship it to you. A buddy of mine kept getting the run around from local dealerships here in Orlando I told him call her a few weeks later his IBM SS arrived at his house from Becky.

1st: There is not a lot of profit for the dealers on Camaros. I think even the SSs are only abut $1500 in profit but they have the dealer holdback of 3% of MSRP.
2nd: Having said that it is hard to believe that he really expects you to pay sticker for a Chevy that has been out for 2.5 years now. I would go to another dealer just based on that. He doesn't value you as a customer and is looking to stick it to you.
3rd: My sister went to go buy a '07 Honda Pilot and Rick Hendrick Honda told her that they were selling for MSRP. I called the other Honda store and they offered us $6500 off list. She bought it from Rick Hendrick for $6500 off list.
Always call or ask around.

Yes that is the only way to get a policy, Since I am in the military it was easy for me to get one but I do not know the process of getting a account by knowing someone who is.

I just took delivery of a 2012 1SS with the rear camera and the connectivity package. I ordered from the factory and I paid invoice. If they won't come off MSRP go somewhere else.

Definitely shop around. It's still early in the '12 MY. Take your time.

In reference to USAA, you must be a member to take advantage of their "car buyng service" (which basically consists of e-mailing you a list of local dealers with whom they have pre-negotiated prices. The way to become a member is if you are currently in the military or U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps or have recently served in the military - irrespective whether on active duty, reserves or inactive reserves. You may also become a member if either of your parents served (under certain circumstances / rank, dates) or if you have children who are serving. There are also other circumstance under which you may gain membership which you can lookup here.

You could also check with Becky Doyle of Rodgers Chevrolet in Michigan. Apparently a good number of Camaro5 members have worked with her in getting their vehicles from her. Becky is super nice and definitely worth a try. She publicly states she honors all discounts.

I've also attached the pricing guides for the 2012 MY which I got from the forum here. You'll have to adjust the size once you open the pdfs.

What a joke. You can read the threads here from autumn of 2010, and people were already ordering 2011's back then, close to invoice. Any salesperson thinking these cars are so fresh that they'll fetch MSRP for 2012, is totally out to lunch.

That's bull. I ordered a 1LT for invoice and the dealer took that offer without an argument. Even if it's one that's on the lot, it hasn't been there for more than a few weeks, they haven't incurred much cost.
