Finally saw a Camaro in real life

Just returned from my dealer to inquire about the status/location of my son's 2SS (its been at 4400 for two weeks) and to look at their 2LT/RS.

A few observations, first the car looks fantastic, great fit and finish. The Midnight Silver wheels look better in real life than photos. The dash from the center to passenger is a vast expanse of NOTHING. They should have added a grab handle or something to break up all the real estate. And there's plenty of room for a Nav LCD screen.

The back seat is a joke. I'm 5'9" and after adjusting the seat for my driving position there is NO WAY anyone other than a small child or pet will fit. See photo:

Bottom line be realistic about the back seat and this car won't disappoint. If you think you can carry 4 adults think again and take another vehicle from the family motor pool.

Tom

BTW: They don't know where my son's car is.

I'm 5'8" and the salesman fit fine in the back seat

The way the seat is backed up looks kinda exaggerated to me IMO

And when I was in the passenger seat, I had plenty of leg room in the front and the wife was fine back there too.

I fit behind Number 3 just fine. The trick... you can't have your legs directly in front of you. Spread your knees out and you'll be fine.

I'm 6' 0" but must have longer than normal legs. In the showroom car, drivers seat adjusted for me, there was no more than 2" between the back of my seat and the front of the back seat. I'm o.k. with that though, I'll be driving, screw the backseat passengers. They'll thank me for allowing them to be uncomfortable in the new Camaro

Here's to hoping his car comes in soon.

Backseats could be big, small, or not even there at all. I'm not buying this as a passenger hauler.

Ok, changed my mind. Female passangers in the back.

Good call man. Bad mental image with anyone other than a female behind me.

Tom, what was your opinion of the materials used for the interior?

Wow, kind of worried about the location of my car if JS doesn't know where it is. Oh well, we'll just have to see. As it's sitting right now dad, I should be home around the 19th if my leave gets approved. I'm Tom's son if anyone is confused/curious.

Seems as good as any mid priced BMW. I liked the seats, window indexing and over quality feel of the car. As I said it's a winner and GM will sell boat loads.
