Floppydisk's carbon fiber striped 2010 SS
Hey guys, been meaning to do this for a while, so here we go.
I bought the car new April 1st 2011. It had sat on a showroom floor for a year so I got a decent deal on it. It was my daily driver for 3 years until my wife totalled her mustang. I manage my family's land so she took the Camaro and we got a wrangler for me. She drove it until I did this overhaul to it in August of 2015. It had plenty of signs of being a DD for 4.5 years, which drove me crazy every time I saw it. Notice the scrape down the side of the passenger door. My dad hit it with his gator while we were living with them during the last couple months of building my house. As he was parking his gator my dog sat on the gas petal and luckily that was all it did. Anyway, I hit the breaking point and took the plunge even though we didn't have my wife a car yet, but that situation worked out too. This is what it looked like before. Fast forward to now. This is the list of mods. Exterior: ZL1 front fascia (with tint on the upper fogs) Rear SS emblem attached over ZL1 indention Carbon fiber front bow tie from g5 carbon Angel eye headlights (with tint on the blinkers) Seibon CF fenders Seibon TSII CF hood Tinted side markers Seibon CF trunk lid Smoked brake lights Painted tail light bezels Oracle LED reverse lights (tinted) Borla atak exhaust 35% window tint Interior: CFD's pistol grip shifter in carbon fiber Leather manual boot Blue led dome light Blue led footwell lights Blue led trunk light 2x 10" MTX Subwoofers Alpine 1500 amp Now to the good stuff. I'm 24 so this is my first undertaking like this. I was very humbled by learning how much goes into doing this, and I'm lucky I had very good people doing it. Since I was getting pretty much a whole new front end, trunk lid, and various dents and dings fixed I figured I might as well paint the whole car. I had originally wanted rally stripes that wrapped around down the bumpers and on the roof, but then I got the hood. Thinking of painting over all the gorgeous carbon fiber seemed like a huge crime, but there was no way I was leaving it unpainted. Here's the hood. Absolutely gorgeous. I originally didn't get the Seibon fenders. At first I had RK Sport fenders, but the fitment was just terrible. I returned those and got the seibon since the hood and trunk lid fit perfect. Now here comes the pictures while it was in the shop. Looking very rough at this point, but luckily not long after I got the seibon fenders and the front bumper. Looking better, but this is where the stress really hit me. I don't think there is a Camaro on the Internet that has stripes that I didn't look at. We went through a lot of tape trying different ideas at the shop, but I finally decided to go with the stock look plus the fender stripes. Now for what it looks like now. Oh wait that's just what it looks like most of the time. This is what it looks like under the skin. Before I get in trouble for having a cover that says ZL1, I got it on Amazon and it was the cheapest GM one. That's it for now. Future mods will hopefully include a carbon fiber front splitter, cf side skirts, and cf rear diffuser to trim the bottom in carbon fiber. I'm toying with plasti dipping my rims to hold me off until I get new ones. That would probably finish me for exterior. Then I'm looking at performance upgrades. The first of those will be CAI, headers, and cam. Those are a ways off though since I'm more than happy with my car. I'll try to get some better pictures on a sunny day. Thanks for looking at my pride and joy. Hope you all like it!

It was sort of sunny this morning; so I took some better pictures both outside and in the garage.
We'll start off outside. The carbon fiber bowtie really ties in nicely! No more scrape down the side! The color is roughly the same IBM, but it has more pearl in it, which really makes it look awesome in the sun, or the flash. You can see how the sun changes it in some of the first pictures better. You can see how the carbon fiber blends in on some angles, and really pops on others. Now for some pictures in the garage. It bothered me having the ZL1 indention on the grill, and it took me a while to figure out how to fix it. Sticking the SS emblem that was on my old trunk lid isn't perfect, but it works for now. Also the tint on the blinkers and fogs make everything blend so nice. Detail along the vent looks sweet. The body shop owner convinced me to pain the bezels, which I'm really glad of. These next couple show how you can really see the paint being a layer over the carbon fiber. Now the underside of the hood and trunk lid. I've thought about getting something painted under the hood, but that's a long way away if I ever do. The subs were in the vehicle I had before, and the boxes just happened to match the trunk interior perfect. It took a good bit of trunk space away, but who cares. Lastly I leave you with one of the best things I've bought for the car, the shifter. I absolutely LOVE this thing. It might have been a pain to hook up, mainly because cutting the wires for tapshift was scary, but totally worth it. That's all for now.

Yeah, I just looked at your build, very nice! I want your engine bay lol. It's a shame my wants outweigh my wallet by a good margin.

Very nicely done.
Usually I hate, and I mean HATE those hash stripes on Camaro's. But with the dark blue against the carbon fiber, really turned out better then I thought.

I'm with you on the stripes. That's mainly why I was so stressed. I couldn't really find anything I liked on other Camaros, but there were a couple that had the stripes further back, instead of being right above the tire. Those still looked a little weird since they just stopped, but since I have the vent I think that gave it a stopping point to give it a clean look.

Beautiful blue. Fenders are awesome too. Very unique way to lay the paint, really works.

Thanks, definitely went through a lot of ideas. I think it's not too over the top, but just enough in the right places. I was out of the country for the week of it actually being painted; so it was a stressful vacation. It was a surprise when I saw the color since I was expecting the same, but I'm definitely glad it came out the way it did.

Wow I absolutely love this. I've never been a fan of carbon fiber fenders and hoods, didn't like the look. Painted however with just the stripes showing through that reveal it's made out of carbon fiber, that's freaking awesome man. Great job on the car, all you need now is some wheels.
