Hi fellas,

Camaro 6ers, can't seem to answer a simple Q. I'm thinking of going Brembos with my 6 Gen 20 inchers. Me? Imagine that!

Is it a big job, master cylinder & much more? What would or should the job run?

The 20 inchers are 5 spokes & there is a boatload of room behind the spokes. The standard caliper looks dinky. I'd like to do all four wheels.

Do the Brembos come painted red? I heard drilled & slotted rotors are not the best but slotted ones are the best.

Also I'd like to do new parts. One guy on the 6 Forum said too expensive.

I don't know how much it all would cost but Brembos come powder coated red only on ZL1 or 1LE stock...

Slotted and drilled aren't bad unless you track with them, otherwise, go slotted only or slotted and dimpled.

The Brembo calipers are gloss black on a ZL1.

Someone on here was selling a set of 4 calipers for 350.00. I don't think you would need to go with a different master, but they probably use different brake lines. Shouldn't be too hard to have them powder coated whatever color you want.

350.00 for 4 are gently used? Why would someone get rid of their brembos?

Perhaps they're a track rat that needed something better? i.e. 6-piston Baer, 6-piston Brembo, Carbon Ceramics, etc.
