Won't the ATI damper and 10 percent pulley void the warranty?

Thats what we are debating. The bolt on parts (i.e. damper & pulley) do not void the warranty, it is typically the tune required to run these bolt ons. Once you tune, that is burned into the ECU, even if you tune back to OEM, they will always be able to tell the car's computer had been tuned. However, with the 10% pulley/damper and Roto-Fab intake, you can run 98 octane without having to get a tune. So if the need arises, you can swap back to the original pulley and other than a few knicks on the crank bolt, there is no evidence. However, someone brought up the question if the ECU had some type of data logging feature where they could tell how the car had been running for say the last 500 miles?

.

Call me old fashioned guys, but if I put parts on my car that void the warranty, then I will pay for my own repairs. If you want the warranty, then don't put on stuff then take it back off trying to trick the company.

Yep, that is exactly what people do using protective sockets.

Yes the old bolt is used to install but you remove and use a new one. The dealer can not say your warranty is out with the bolt that looks like it was moved, there is no info saying you can not remove and install a new bolt. Now if they can see the boost was over specs that may also be hard, because that could be a bad bypass valve for all they know. As long as GM does not read your post saying you installed the OD pulley. I have not installed any OD pulley on my car.

Yes, so if something happens, be ready to reinstall OEM or hope they can not tell. I would think by now, with SCs going bad they may watch for any mods.
