I hate delivering bad news but McGard wheel locks WILL NOT deter a thief from taking the wheels, and how do I know this you ask ???? the wheels (2) of my Infiniti G35 where taken with McGard wheel locks installed, I found my a wheel lock on the ground with no damage on it just as it would be removed by me, did a little research and I found out that Infiniti/Nissan only uses 5, yes I said five patterns of locks only !!
DO NOT BUY ANY WHEEL LOCKS FROM THE CAR DEALERS AS THEY ARE LIMITED IN THEIR PATTERNS, this is to facilitate service mechanics in the event they need to remove a wheel and owner has accidentally lost/forgot or has no clue what the service rep is talking about Any wheel lock can be removed by banging an oversized socket onto the wheel and then braking it loose with a ratchet wrench suggestion for a solution...buy a wheel lock from an auto parts store, at least the patterns vary, I did this but I switched to Gorilla Locks As an added note, same night 1/2 mile down the road another Infiniti also had 2 wheels removed, the pattern was the same as mine !!!! |

Agree that's why your security needs to be multi layered. If your alarm is configured properly tampering with the wheels will set it off.
However without the pager it's somewhat useless, as we all know people ignore alarms and like you said they work fast. So they won't stop unless someone screams out a window or door etc. |

WHen they catch the guys who did this, ask the cops for five minutes alone with them and a baseball bat.
OR maybe you could dish out little bit of this : Or a little of this:

I hate to see this happen to anyone. These have worked for us for many years. No UPS, FedEx or mail deliveries (got a P.O. box), we even have to be at home and lock them in the garage for the water and power meter readers.

BTW if you found it unlocked they may of just used a slim jump to unlock it. You might not of forgot. Don't blame yourself.
Look for any scratch or deformation on the weather strip above the door handle. Indication of a door popper. |
