Going to the track for the first time

I'm planning on going to the track this weekend and was wondering about some zl1 specifics:
For quarter mile:
I would feel more comfortable shifting normally but Is no lift shift better?
Nannies / no nannies first time out?
Burn out w stock tires?
"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "...
holy sh*t...what a ride!"

Start with all the nannies on till you get to know the car. Then work your way down to no nannies.

If you want to be able to do a burnout, turn off the nannies and do not stomp the accelerator from the starting line. PTM5 is useless & if you run "nannies on" your times will be horrible. Of course we want everybody to be safe here so try with the nannies on then turn off the next pass.
