Stainless Works retro Catback Muffler removal?

This is probably a no....But has anyone removed say 2 of the 4 mufflers that come with the Retro Chambered Catback?

System has the x pipe then 2 mufflers then pipe to back where there is 2 more mufflers.

Not sure it would do anything but those mufflers are pretty constrictive in the center.

I guess the worst thing is we put the muffler back in ! haha

I Just figured with my fully built motor/cammed/supercharged releasing some more airflow would help

I was also thinking about this, i went from 2.5 straight pipe to this hoping it would be louder but felt like it was quieter

I cant believe its that narrow. Wonder if the muffler at the back are that restrictive.....if so how is this exhaust an improvement over stock.

I did these last weekend and replaced with straight pipe the two in the middle and left the rear ones on. The tone did change a little and it got a little louder. Im not sure how it’ll affect you since you have way more power but I did cut into one of the mufflers and there’s actually another pipe inside of it which of course has to be smaller than 3 inches so that miffler is not really a 3 inch, its more like a 2.5 plus the wierd things that it has on the inside so take that into consideration also. I also did try it with straight pipe all the way and it was extremely loud

Thanks for the input! Im hoping for a bit more bark at idle. I have QTP cutouts right behind the headers so thats my extreme loud when i want it to be. So if your saying its loud with all 4 gone ill probably stick with removing just the 2. Im sure mines going to louder cause long tubes and no cats with supercharged and cammed car. we shall see

Yea all 4 mufflers on this system are the same. It now explains why i gain 11 HP on a dyno when i have my cutouts open. (mounted where the cats should be)

They make one for the zl1 quad tips without the rear mufflers. Serial number ends in lmf. They must have this option for ss no? Also I think think mufflers are reversible too so the louvres face toward the rear.
