Mine come in handy...I can’t back up the Camaro very well at all. Everytime I go to back up it looks like a monkey fu€king a football.

Wish I would have known about launch control when I tried drag racing at CF7. Curious how it would have worked. Guess I can always try it on the street.

If a cable isn't moved for an extended period of time it may be stuck. Light oil or WD-40 along the outside of the cable should soak through it and loosen it up given a day or two. Of course it can't hurt to lube the latch and the lock cylinder occasionally.

Of course it’s mechanical. It’s there if you have no power and can’t pop the trunk with fob or button on door.
I have a vert and my favorite thing is when locking the car with the fob, it disables the trunk release button on the door.

I would say you are in the minority, I have them on all my vehicles and love them.

They were only on Camaros for early 2010 model year. Discontinued around Oct 2009. This is my July '09 build 2010 SS

My early 5th Gen Camaro (built 8/04/09) has the chiclets, under hood GM Performance badge, dash CD player and door lock button and lighting harness. and no back up sensors. All this makes the early builds a little special as time goes by imo.

I think I recall early 10s may have had an extra ambient lighting harness for the dash

Can someone take a pic of the secret pockets? Like I said I may have aftermarket seat covers (they look stock but they are leather) in mine, but want to be sure.

Yes, I believe it was behind the 4 gauge pack.

^ ^ This. I had two regrets over the production 5th gen compared to the concepts
that I saw at GM Carlisle in 2007. The biggest was the addition of the B pillar,

and also the elimination of the dash lighting between the doors. The
B pillar was added to get a 5 star crash rating for roll overs. I never could
understand the elimination of the dash lighting as I think it made it onto some
Buicks in 2010.

Backup lock will work?
Had same problem...gm switched out the lock. Works fine now
