Gotta love your tube. When I took my g42 apart it was before anyone really had much on there and I may have broken the trigger spring group.....

Putting a full pistol grip stock onto my Remington 870 for hunting. It will be different but I feel like it will be beneficial

Some US military arms and vintage related material of WWII, since it is D-Day today. I'm still fascianated that I can hold this history in my hands.

M1910 'pucker pouch' cartridge belt with Springfield Model of 1905 bayonet in Detroit Gasket scabbard. Also present are en bloc clips for M2 ball, for use with the M1 'Garand' rifle.

This is not an original 1903A4 sniper, I resurrected it it from a sporterized 1903A3 made in 1943 By Remington, and used in WWII. The repros are the scope, mount and rings, and forward barrel band. Bolt is an original Remington 1903A3 bolt machined for the scope. pretty, but only a so-so shooter right now. I have an unissued 1943 Remington barrel for it that I hope will improve matters, but truthfully they were not great sniper rifles. The scopes were not high quality and had low magnification. My reproduction scope is actually superior in construction to an original.

M1936 pistol belt with Warren Leather Goods M1916 holster for an M1911A1 or Model of 1911 pistol, two magazine pouch, canteen and cover, and unopened first aid kit with pouch.

1944 M1 rifle and 1943 M1 Carbine

Gas ration card that my grandfather must have misplaced, dated 12 August 1944. I was born 12 August 1971, coincidentally. That's also my Grandfather's Shipbuilder's badge from WWII, and that is the pocket knife he carried daily on the job, and his carborundum sharpening stone. Medal in the lower left is a WW One Victory medal, unrelated to my Grandfather.

WWII M1 helmet with swivel bail and Firestone liner

Not sure if anyone has brought this up or not yet, but I just learned today about the Glock 43. It's Glock's answer to the Smith and Wesson M&P9 Shield and others like it. What's everyone's opinion about it? Personally, I'm a Glock person, but I think I'd buy the M&P because of magazine capacity. 6+1 (Glock) versus 7+1 or 8+1 (extended magazine).

Caught that this morning... shame. They're supposed to be restructuring their debt only.

They banked on getting military M4 order, and didn't.

Yea what a shame but this is what happens when you price yourself out of competition. In one of the articles I read, Colt blamed other manufacturers that are a lot lower in price and are equal or better quality as a part of their down fall.

Kimber figured out deceptive marketing, branding the name Kimber Custom and nothing about their firearms being custom.

Upgrading .308's.
The old one is a 700 with a 24" barrel and Mark AR 6-18x40 scope.
I just bought a 700 SPS Varmint, ordered an HS Precision m24 a2 stock, Leupold Mark 4 LR/T Illuminated 8.5-25x50, TPS Rings, and a Talley 20MOA base.
Should be fun.

I've been looking into a sporting rifle for occasional plinking. Not sure what I want to go with just yet. Any suggestions on a 223/5.56 or something similar?
