If I've learned anything from GM over the years, if they have the opportunity to do a special edition and charge more for it they will. I'm sure we'll see some kind of anniversary package in the next few months. Hopefully they do more than appearance updates

Nah, they don't have to make them every year to celebrate the 1967 anniversary..

It's the greedy part I don't like. I don't mind pay $1000 more and get a little something for it, $5000 more is a little different..

Sadly, there can be no anniversary edition for a while now. Anyone remember the tragedy in 2002?... They stopped making Camaro. The entire point of releasing an anniversary edition would be to celebrate ______ years of consecutive production. Camaro forfeited its rights to that 8 years ago. Lame, but you know I'm right. All we can do now is wait for 2020, or maybe 2030... :(

Well it has been anounced on the homepage and on this link that there will be a 45th Anniversary Edition! I wonder what will all be done for this package?

Corvette had a 50th anniversary edition in 2003, and they skipped a model year in 1983. Although, there were 43 1983's built but were never sold. So maybe that technically keeps their anniversaries going.

I hope there is a 45th and 50th Camaro. They can just put an asterisk in the history book about the skipped 7 years. If you're in a coma for 7 years and wake back up, you'd still celebrate your 50th birthday, 50 years from your birth.
Trans ams had a 10th anniversary edition, a 15th, a 20th, a 25th, and a 30th (all except the 30th anniversary where white with blue graphics, and the 10th had silver graphics).
Corvettes had a 25th anniversary a 35th, a 40th, and a 50th (the last 2 were a ruby red color the previous ones were all white).

Camaro didn't have a 20th annversary car. The convertibles for '87 came with this 20th badge but I don't really see that as an anniversary edition because that's all it had.

The first Camaro anniversary edition was in 1992 for the 25th.

I believe the Corvette was the 1st GM car to have an anniversary edition in 1978. The Trans Am did have a 50th Anniversary edition in 1976 but it was for Pontiac's 50th anniversary.

I'm excited as the next guy about seeing what comes up with the 45th, but im gonna wait and save my money on the 50th anniversary Camaro in 2017. By then I should done paying for my 2010 2SS and have enough time to save up for another Cam and hopefully by then it will be a 6th gen.
