Is it like clothes.... just paying for the name?

Value come in that this is a 3 peice rim, the weigh difference of this compaired to a cheaper rim. The material in which it is made, and just the construction of this compaired to a cheaper rim. There is many aspects to choosing a rim, weight, construction, size and looks ect. My rims are 22's like this and I believe they weigh in right at or withing 1-2 lbs of the stock weight rim/tire. Now a cheap set, all bets are off, those will weigh in a lot higher...

We have a fabrication & machine shop. I know metals.

Even 3 piece... which adds in the connections possibly failing or having issues. Aluminum (6061,5052,any other series) you can make it weigh less by removing more material. There is no magic.

I can see where maybe coatings would be different quality.

This is definitely way cheaper than buying new. If anyone is looking for a set of these... this is a steal.

My questions relating to expense of the wheel was not meant to push anyone away. It was my redneck way of saying "where's the beef".
