Has anyone used GM Parts Direct?

Has anyone had any dealings with a company listed as GM Parts Direct (GMpartsdirect.com) located in Winston Salem, NC? I am looking to replace my headlight that has started to hold condensate in it and their prices are much lower (34% lower) than what the same part is at the local Chevrolet dealer. Was wondering if they are selling seconds or refurbished parts. They look to be on the up and up and say they have full GM warranty on parts, just thought I'd ask before ordering. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me on this company.

I’ve used them without issues. The only thing you have to consider is the shipping charge, which is sometimes outrageous

I have used them several times before in the past. Never had any issues and the parts were brand new OEM parts.

yep...no issues. Only problem like mentioned is shipping. You can order a 2$ part and pay 6$ in shipping. But always quick.

Just a thought for you. I had a 14’ ls with just base halogen headlights. One had condensation and the other didn’t. I took it into dealer to get warranty replacement and they told me it’s suppose to do that, so I said, great. The other one needs replaced because it doesn’t do that. Long story short. They did not replace either. I ended up finding a low spot and drilling drain holes in each one and never had another issue.

I bought my door weather stripping from them and it was dealer quality. It saved me over a hundred dollars.

My understanding is that Flow Chevrolet is a dealership in Winston Salem and is also a GM parts warehouse, which is probably the same as GMpartsdirect. I've also looked for parts on there and have been teased by their lower prices, which ultimately became moot once I factored in the really high shipping costs.

I have ordered a lot of parts from them with no problems but as mentioned above the shipping is normally high.

I'd rather pay the shipping cost any day instead of going to those a holes at the dealer. Just my opinion.

Same as everyone else. I have ordered many factory things for Pontiac, Cadillac, Camaro and Chevy Trucks.

Sometimes they do run deals on shipping. This time of year you may get lucky.

So far so good?

Recently a local shop had to get a roof panel for my CTS wagon from them. Seems most of those cars were built with the glass roof so a full roof replacement panel was hard to find.

I have used them and a few of the other 'GM Parts' companies that are similar, like GM Parts Store.

You will find that most of them are actually owned and operated by a GM dealership/parts department, or the parent dealership operator. This is why you will always get Genuine GM parts from them. Sometimes they don't hide it and you can see on their website which dealership they are part of. Discovering this is what gave me the motivation to order from them, as I figured I wouldn't get screwed over and would actually get quality parts.

Not sure how they are able to beat their own in-person sales department prices, but they usually do by a lot. I recently needed a door wiring harness. My local GM dealer wanted $160, but GM Parts Direct could do it for $96 before shipping.

Gm Parts Direct is part of FLOW GM Automotive Center, Winston-Salem North Carolina. GMPartsStore.com is operated by Quality Dealerships of Albuquerque, NM. "The Sunny Southwest's Premier GM Dealer", and GM Parts Warehouse is run by Eagle GM in Riverhead, NY.

GM Parts Giant is also dealer owned/affiliated, but they hide their physical address and dealer name from the public. There are a few other of these GM Parts warehouse companies online and I bet they are all dealer operated.
