another good choice from tsp is the 229, they had a member on here that installed one and it looked like it performed just as good if not better than the tsp 231

We have been using the G6X3 cam for years now, starting with the 2008 LS3 powered Corvette's of course.

It has a been a very popular cam and has made a lot of customers happy with very fast cars.

I noticed a few were talking of smaller cams, and we do offer other cams than just the G6X3 for those thinking it might be a little large for you.

I can see 475 to 500 rwhp with the G6X3, our Super Pro Long Tube exhaust, cold air, underdrive and dyno tune. Depending on how strong the car is to start with, and other supporting mods.

Highest I have seen to date is 538 rwhp with a FAST and ported LS3 heads, through a manual.

If anyone has any questions about this cam, or other products let me know.

I can let you know in about 3 weeks. I'm currently in Afghanistan and will be getting the cam installed a few days after I come home.

the 231/236 is very streetable, only has small amount of low rpm bucking.I had purchased both of the stated cams but wound up having to install the TSP cam because my heads were milled and I did not want to cut pistons. Both run real good ,with stock or unmilled heads I would have liked to have installed the bigger cam.Next time!

I drive my tsp cam 50 miles a day through town traffic with a big aftermarket clutch. It drives very well, you can't really overcam the ls3 into undrivability, there isn't enough ptv.

What I have is what I gave you, this is all I was given from Lethal, I drove the car when I was home on midtour leave from Iraq and it was just fine for me and ran 117 in the 1/4 mile!! I love it and will more than likely be getting their aftermarket castings when they are done conducting their R&D!

Here are all the vids I have, with and without the cam and some track runs!!
Track runs before going to Lethal

Dyno Run

Track Runs after going to Lethal

High Rev/Idle with and without Cam

We're not just picking lobes out of a catalog, we are competely designing a new intake lobe specifically for the constraints the LS3 gives us.
I wouldnt recommend you sell a larger cam until you can sell a valve spring that can take the extra stress. Your current PRC spring has a problem with the 231 cam. No way it will ever work with added lift and RPM.

Funny, no one has even mentioned an issue like this on here. My car has no issues either.

We have sold over 25,000 springs so far this year and I could probably count the number of springs that have had a problem on one hand. Of those, you couldn't tell if it was an issue due to either RPM or lift. For that matter, the owners couldn't tell us what the install height was or how much preload was on them. I would say for the amount of springs out here on customer's cars as well as all the shops we sell to that haven't had a single issue, the PRC springs work great! We have tested them on the dyno on a .708" lift cam turning it 7500 RPM and they had no problem!

And lord knows I've been all over this board researching Cams before I finally decided to pick up my 231/236

I wouldnt admit a problem if I were TSP either.
The only spring failure I witnessed myself was on TSP Jasons' personal black 2010 Camaro that you guys did the install on. The #4 intake valve spring broke causing the intake valve to break off into the engine. This happened 1800 miles after the new owner purchased the car from Jason.

So your PRC springs are good for .708 lift and 7500 rpm?

I'm not comfortable with their .650 springs on the LS3, I don't feel they can control the intake valve very well with the low pressure. Friend ran into issues with his setup, and after measuring some fairly fresh springs, I can see why. I do, however, like their EHT .675 springs, which have significantly more pressure, and have no issues turning 7k in my personal car with them with the TSP cam.

A lot of folks dont realize that valve springs are a wear item. 12000 miles/1 year and they're pretty much toast with a large/aggressive cam. Had another friend I know pick up 30whp with fresh springs at my suggestion after 20,000 miles on his and low dyno numbers/early tq and hp peak. Go figure
