Does your 1le splitter hit everywhere?
Hi 1le guys, I installed a 1le splitter on my ss about month ago and since then it scrapes everywhere. Just wondering if you guys have this problem. It seems that just center point hits. And no my car isn't lowered.

I have a ZL1 and yes it hits almost everything. I put splitter guards on mine. Found them through a thread on this forum. They help

I mean they help protect the bottom not the nose.

I had a Roush Mustang, which was at least 1.5" lower than the Camaro's splitter, and I had to be VERY careful of scraping it. The 1LE's height is way easier to negotiate curbs/dips with than the Roush. Count your blessings and be careful with it.

Yea it only hits on the nose. I've already had it painted twice. I try to drive more carefully now but its a bummer because I was planning on getting bmr lowering springs but I guess that won't be happening anymore

my car is dropped 1.25" and I want a 1le splitter for my car.... but the cost is so much that I am very hesitant to buy one due to scraping it up.

I've had no scrapes with mine, though I am really careful going in/out of slopes areas. I have seen rub washers being sold through this site - might be worth checking out.

I'm lowered with the same eibach springs that were on my '12 SS and I installed the splitter on my '12 SS. I always make it a point to never get into a situation where I'll scrape. Same with the 1LE, it's lowered on Eibach springs and so far....nada.

sounds like you are going straight when going nose first down a driveway to be hitting the nose all the time. with cars that sit lower you will have to angle you way up and down slopes. I have not had a problem with the nose, but I do have a scrape on the driver side. I was pulling into a parking spot and dropped my front wheel into a low spot and it rocked me forward and ran it into the parking stop. I am just glad it is for track use and it can handle a scrape or two rather than having body matched color painted plastic that would crack and wreck the paint.

No scrapes yet....... I've got springs to install still (1") but even then we're pretty careful about where we're pulling into, out of or up to.
Anyone outright buying a 1LE splitter, it's spendy.......... I'm going to order a set of washers for it eventually but not outright running it into something is still on us.

This being my umpteenth lowered car I drive it differently that my trucks or other cars.
Approach driveways with any incline at an angle Stop a foot shorter than you think you need to pulling up to a curb OR back into parking spots with curbs. -Matt
