I don't understand this position, different manufacturers just don't offer the same things. My family was bowtie growing up, but when I bought the Camaro I was deeply torn between it and a Challenger. Solid performance and AWD are very compelling, and GM refuses to put AWD into something fun. After buying the Camaro I bought an AWD Charger for the "family" since GM doesn't have anything equivocal.

rented 2.0 camaro convertible, gt converible, ecoboost both convertible premium. for anyonw who's actualyl driven them for significant amount of time, the camaro by clearly the best for a vert. the base interior is much better than the stang premium imo, which is tacky.
mustang were flexy noodles, and the gt has 235 tires on a 400hp+ car. gt also got 11 mpg with some spirited driving.. horrible and at tranny felt pretty bad. |

I was raised on GM and have been happy with their products since driving age (16 years). During my 30's, I have purchased two GM fun cars: An '11 Camaro SS and a C7 Grand Sport. As daily drivers over the past 8 years, I've owned a '13 Cruze RS and a '17 Cruze RS. Over the same time, my wife has owned a '16 BMW X1 M and a '19 Terrain Denali. I don't need an AWD "fun car". My fun cars stay in the garage for ~6 months out of the year and come out on sunny days during spring and summer months. Again, to each their own. I love my GM performance cars and I live in PA; therefore, only having enough money to buy one vehicle, I could not rationally buy a Camaro or Corvette. We received 12" of snow 1 month ago and received another 13" this past week. The Camaro and Corvette wouldn't even make it out of my garage because they sit so low. It is what it is. FYI: The AWD Charger GT (only available with a 300hp V6) runs the 1/4 mile in 14.8 sec., which isn't mind-blowing, but if you are happy, I am happy for you. Enjoy!

Had a 2016 GT vert. Wreck it and got a 2018 1ss with a pro charger.
Loved my mustang. Just when replacing i was trying to find used vert 6 speed and couldn’t find. Also not a fan of the 18+ redesign. The 15-17 looked so much better. I think the Camaro is definitely the better looking car though. It looks pit bullish. The 15-17 GT’s are still good looking. 18+..... nah.... Interior goes to the Gt except the seats. Having own both it’s i’m loving the 6th gen . |

I've always been a GM guy. I enjoy the Mustang's appearance; yet, I would never desire a car that required me to "beat on" to feel any power. In terms of acceleration, they're essentially neck and neck, so that's a non-factor.
