Nitrous System (175HP) on 2010 L99
I have a 2010 ss with L99 engine,
it has Vararam air intake, 102mm throttle body, Holley intake manifold, TSP headers and Corsa exhaust, and it made about 380 rwhp and I'm not satisfied at all with it. So I made a decision on getting a 175HP Nitrous system. So, do I need a torque converter or any other parts? |

Wet shot. ZL1 pump and a tune to make it all work right.
Converter is only going to make it hit harder off the line if you have the traction. |

I put a Maggie on my L99, big difference. No dyno but should have ~ 560hp.

The most nitrous I have seen anyone spray on a L99 was a 150hp shot and that was with a ZL1 fuel pump and a good dyno tune. Definitely use a wet shot and don’t get a higher rpm torque converter keep your stock torque converter in there as it will just make your situation worse. Consider upgrading your tires and suspension as this will help you get traction when spraying nitrous.

I have been spraying a 125 HP Shot for a while on my L99. It works good but that is the max without upgrading the fuel system. You will like it and see a huge difference. I would advise you to start with a 100 shot and go from there. I use the stock converter and like it that way. If you checkout my youtube channel in my signature, I have videos showing the nitrous install and what you have to consider. I have some runs at the dragstrip as well. You will need a tune, different plugs, a bottle heater and a purge kit is nice too. I bought the ZEX kit for the 2010 Camaro and it uses a wire on the throttle body to trigger the nitrous & fuel solenoids. Steve from RDP motorsports provides my tunes and reviews my data logs. Good luck and if there is anything i can help you with just ask.
