Late to the party...

I joined this forum many, many moons ago...before the Camaro was officially re-released. During these years I've wanted to own another and haven't been able to do it. (My first car was an '85 Z28.)

A few weeks ago while in Orlando I rented a car and by the grace of God was upgraded to a Camaro SS. Those three days all I wanted to do was drive that car. Other than the limited views from the cockpit, I was SOLD.

THEN - I see the pics of the 2019 and my heart sank. My goal was to get a 2018 or 2019 by the end of this year but now I'll either have to go with a used pre-2019 model or wait until the 6th Gen pics come out.

How many others have been waiting like me and then have been really disappointed with the changes for 2019? For me, it's heart-wrenching. It's just UGLY.

I'm really wishing I still had my '08 G8 GT...

Agreed that the 2019 refresh is disappointing, but not sure what you mean about waiting for the 6th gen pics. Did you mean 7th gen? You know this is the 5th gen forum, right?

Ya the 19 isnt good....the pre refresh didnt look very good either imo. If im you I would wait for the 7th gen. Or since you really like the 5th gen ....which is the better looking of all 3 try to get yourself a nice low mileage 2015 or something SS.

I really wish I had my 09 G8 GT still. However, there wasn't much left after the drunk driver hit it.

Get a nice 5th gen or early 6th gen. You'll be happy. Many people REALLY don't like the '19, but there are some who really do. Personally, if they moved the flowtie up to the drill and painted the black part of the bumper to match the body, I wouldn't mind it. Of course good luck ever getting me to part with my aqua blue metallic Camaro!

well, the best thing is that 2015-2018 cars are or will soon be slightly used, find a CPO car that you like, get a warranty, and save about 10 grand on your new camaro.

Same thinig happened to me. In April 2016 we went to buy a new one, saw how ugly it was, and after researching the 5th gen I decided I wanted a 2013, so that’s all I looked for.

Lots of Gen5 ZL1s out there cheap. I found some low mileage ZL1s for decent money.

Though its a 1LT V6 Auto, thats what i just did recently. Found a 17,xxx mile 1 owner, darn thing is clean inside and out.

I picked up my 2011 back in October. 1 owner less than 16,000 miles and was all stock. They're out there if you want them and are willing to wait.
Edit: it's a 2SS/RS as well.
