Warning Mid town Tunnel New York City
***WARNING New YORK CITY Mid Town Tunnel***I was heading out of the city last night through the Mid Town Tunnel. Got a ticket for no front plate, There are 2 lanes going into the tunnel, on the right lane there is a police booth mainly checking for terrorists. as i went through I saw another camaro stopped and they flagged me over and gave me a no plate ticket. if you go through the tunnel get in the left side where they probably cant reach or notice you.

I agree...it's a plate, sure it doesn't look that GREAT but it sure does not completely DESTROY the look of the car. come on people.

I hate the way the front plate bracket looks on my car too...I do wish the states would all go to one plate in the rear.

They have nothing better to do than to screw with people in that manner......I must say all of us should get a petiton going in our neighborhoods to eliminate the front plate law and let the police enforce a hell of alot more stringently, the damn CELL PHONE LAW........... I can count at least 100 people on the phone while driving every day from Long island City to Bay Shore........

What bugs the crap out of me is when i see cars with the bracket already installed but no plate on!! If GM had built the front end to hold a plate to begin with then sure but if the car doesnt come stock you shouldnt HAVE to put it on.

The only way to see N.Y. is in your rear view mirror. I left years ago ( L.I. also) and it was the best move I ever made. I can't imagine the police backing up traffic on the L.I.E. to write stupid plate tickets. Here in Ct there is a two plate law but as far as I know it's not enforced. One out of every 10-12 cars I see here doesn't have a front plate.
Just my 2 cents.
