I would contact Sirius/XM about it then.

I sold the Sirius/MX unit we had because it never worked when I was driving anywhere BUT the highway. Add a heavy tree canopy and it was gone.
Will see what happens with the Camaro, since I drive the same roads still. However I usually have the IPod hooked up these days.. so it might take me a while to notice any radio issues.

It sucks that you are having these issues. And is making me think twice about breaking my "rule" about not buying the first year this car is out.

If you (any one else) are not having this issue, it could be because you are so much further north that I am here in the deep south. The angle of the satellites may reflect differently on or around the sunroof since the satellites are at a lower angle in the sky for you than they are for me. Then the signal would effectively be going under the glass up there where it tries to go through the glass here.

Nashional,
I too have spent lots of time at the dealerships service department. I keep holding on to the fact that it's a first year. I understand your frustrations and hope they fix your car, if they haven't already. You posted over a month ago and I haven't read the entire blog about your car yet. Good luck.

The new service center called me late yesterday and said it was the drive shaft and they have one on order. So we'll see... I hope it will fix this vibration.

The other server dept. said they already tried changing that out...

Did you finally get a rental? Did you talk to your service department about having them file a claim to get your monthly payment paid?

I have a rental, this time. It's a soccer-mom car/wagon. :(

I'll talk to them about a payment. They should pay three to be fair since I only financed less than a third of the cost of the vehicle.

I called them earlier today and they say the new drive shaft should be installed this afternoon. Then they will call me to let me know if it fixed the problem (?).

If it did, I can pick it up tomorrow. If it doesn't, I can see this easily going over a month that I haven't been able to use the car...

Just heard back from the service center after replacing the drive shaft.

It did NOT fix the problem. And they don't have any ideas what it is...

I'm calling GM now...

GM is calling the dealer now and I've also asked for compensation. They said they would call me back after they gather all the information about my case.

This might end up being a longer process now. I would expect some type of GM tech guys and the area rep to come down and be involved in the process. They should pay your car payment while it's out, especially since it's going to take awhile longer. Keep us posted on how they handle this, see if the new GM still takes care of it's customers like the old GM.

I still haven't heard back from GM. I'll keep this thread updated as I know more.

I would hope they pay something. But what about OnStar, XM radio, Insurance? I'm still paying for all those services but not getting to use them.
