Finding out what the code is will narrow it down but the things mentioned in these posts are where I would start. Double check all of the connections and fittings on the catch can (thread tape on all the fittings that screw into the can) and where the intake slips over the front of the TB.

Double check the intake tube attached to the TB itself...you could have pinched it off and a huge air leak happens. Make sure the MAF sensor is oriented the the correct direction marked "flow" with an arrow. Double check the plug is clicked into the MAF well. Unplug it and recheck. What is your code from the CEL?

I untorqued the throttle body and retorqued very lightly with approx seeing 1/16 to 1/8 gap of the green gasket took the car out for a ride and had no more issues.
Very strange that the tb just bolts on very lightly? I still have to clear the code thou.

NO, that negative cable will only remove power from the power steering not the car!

The CC should only be inline with the valley cover and blower snout. No other hook ups should be used or you will get a vacuum leak.

Glad to hear that you were able to resolve it.

I finally pulled the code p0068. The car still surges on cold startup for about a minute but seems to drive fine. I wish I knew what was going on?
