Installed Vmax tb and catch can went for ride = problems

I have a 13 zl1 m6 already had a rotofab on installed and the exhaust fuse pulled installed Vmax lsa tb and apex catch can started car up last night the car surged for about two min. Pulled 5 and 20 fuse all night. Went for ride today from first to second I laid into easy went to third it sounded like I ran something over then went into engine power down mode. I limped to side of road turned car off. Waited a few minutes then started it up and held the traction control button down it turned off the engine power down mode. I drove it home slow.
I don't know whats going on? Any help would be great!

Did you make sure all your sensor wire(s) were plugged back in?

It is so easy to swap, I would swap the stock TB back in and see what happens? Maybe the vmax was bad? (doubt it but maybe).

My car surged and ran and idled a little odd when I installed the vmax but after about 20 minutes it died down and runs great. very responsive throttle.

How tight do you put the tb bolts on. I had torqued mine to 9ft lbs and I can't see the green gasket. I know they were very easy to back off from the factory. I don't remember if I could see the gasket then.
Could this be the problem?

Did you pull the negative cable on the battery before doing your install? This helps the computer learn the parameters of your new setup. Like others have said, make sure all your fittings are secure and that your MAF sensor is facing the proper direction.

Edit: I now see that you already had your cai intake before doing this mod.

The negative cable pull was part of my CAI install instructions.

make sure the throttle body is evenly torqued to a firm 1/4" ratchet torque...10ft/lbs ish. I put a little lube on the gasket to help the seal...very thin amount. Double check the intake tube attached to the TB itself...you could have pinched it off and a huge air leak happens. Make sure the MAF sensor is oriented the the correct direction marked "flow" with an arrow. Double check the plug is clicked into the MAF well. Unplug it and recheck. What is your code from the CEL?

Unhook catch can and put hoses back to stock, could be a vacuum leak or hose issue with the can.

Did you put in the supplied plug on the optional second side outlet on the Apex catch can? It will run rough and surge but you should also be able to hear the air escaping as in an air leak if you didn't.

call Onstar and get them to scan the car! They will do it for you. Tell them to give you the code.
