We need more good men. I understand if it's not in the cards.. you got to make sure you have diapers for the littlest one.

My little one is now 4 1/2.. Diapers are almost over. Them things are expensive!

600 ponies is a totally different thing today.. better gearing, better tires, better suspension. I bet that car was pretty light compared to the camaro..
It definitely would be an interesting race against that beast. Camaro has it in the corners, V16 on the straights.. I can see it now.
Key there is 1.5 Litre 16 cylinder! Sure sounds great! There is a CD with the recording available in a book. It will give ya a woody!

Junkie's wife won't let him have one, he's not hen pecked, he's just got chicken house ways!

Actually I think the dog just acquired a ZR1!

One of my favorite thing is plane nose art, specially WWII vintage stuff.

Ok, white it is! I will start on the designs over the weekend. I can make something pretty easy, that will look cool, I think.

Give me about 2 weeks and I will have them done, ready to apply. I'll p.m. you on this so we don't clog up this thread with the details.. I will post (and share) once they are done.

It's like 16 supercharged chainsaws all tied together!
the Pistons have to be TINY!
They probably didn't have a tach that went high enough back then..
I love the sound!

It's not as good as Speed's dyno pull when his car was done though.
I'm partial to 570HP LPE through Borla's.
Must be because I will have the same thing shortly!
Like speed, I aspire to be able to play with the BIG kids... soon... SOON...
Damn, wish I had an extra 10K lying around..
I'd be upgrading right now.

I have my house getting vinyl sided - that's over 10K.. they start next week. Wife would kill me if I put THAT off any longer...

I dont see it anywhere so i got to ask, are the HP numbers at the engine or RWHP?

I was looking at that price tag for the 650hp and i guess i have been out of the performance world too long, cause i used to work at a speed shop for 8years in the 80's/90's and a blown turn key small block was $5500 not neary $20k granted that was carbed and not FI. Guess i am feeling kinda old right now I still kick myself for not buying a 67 camaro a few years back running in the 9's for only 10k.

Windy City, with putting that much in upgrades are u having your insurance adjusted in case of theft or accident?

From what I understand the #s are at he flywheel and the RWHP should net around 580 RWHP. As far as the price goes it is steep but comes with one hell of a good reputation and warranty Another thing to consider with LPE is on the 650 pkg all the internals are forged and if you look at other performance shops in the same hp range some are not doing anything to the internals.

All these builds - fun fun fun. Waiting to just tear up the road!!!

I was at a car show this last weekend and you would be surprised as to what comments I was getting on the car. Of course there was a lot of "Awesome Car" comments but there were quite a few people who would look at the engine and say "Is that a V6 or a V8?" Here was a good one... "Is that the stock engine cover?" Here was another one... "Why didn't you get the top Camaro with the 427?" There are a lot of people that are going to be surprised when I roll up on them.

You guys are going to love the results and have plenty fun!! Of course it is not a ZR1 (Junkie) - that would be awesome.

Speed when you go to the track what octane are you using. Just wondering if you have used 91 octane and if you have noticed any difference in performance. Here in NM we primarily have 91 and I know in different parts of the country 93 is readily available.

No doubt when you roll up on them they will indeed be in for a surprise.

Anyone notice the color of the car right behind windy's in the first pic. I'm guessing its IOM but it sure does look hugger orange, maybe its just the lighting.

I am using 93 Octane. We have a lot of 91 available but only 2 pumps in town that run 93. I asked Ryan about using 91 and he said you shouldn't notice a big difference.

It's funny how many people roll up on you in town and act like they want to race. I then rev the engine so they can hear the S/C and they just look over and give me a thumbs up and "Is that supercharged? Oh - nice ride".

That looks like my car in the back

RS-SS2- I am pretty sure that the car behind is my car. Its IOM. I don't know if you have gotten to see the color in person but it really changes alot based on the light and the shadows- Dark red looking to bright metallic orange. I love the color...

On another note- I hear they will be firing it up for the first time some time today...

Speed I can hardly wait to experience the same thing. I remember when you first posted the video from the interior of you car and the way it sounded.I couldn't wait to get my car up to LPE. I must of listened to that video clip a hundred times.
